Brazil is also deserving of praise for the effort it has made to produce more sustainable swimwear. Facing increasingly hot summers, Brazilian swimwear designers have managed to kill two birds with one stone: they’ve developed thong bikinis that have a smaller carbon footprint and that are more comfortable during summers impacted by global warming.

Brazilian thong bikinis are made of 75% less material than traditional bikini bottoms, as you can see in the photo above.

This has a bigger impact on the environment than you might think !
